GIVIT gets people doing it tough exactly what they need, exactly when they need it. 

Since 2009, you’ve helped us create more than 8 million moments of love, dignity and self-empowerment. Appliances for a family who lost their home in a bushfire; school supplies for a mum and kids escaping domestic violence; groceries and medicine for a teenager with a disability impacted by homelessness. When you donate through GIVIT, you’re creating one of these moments, where someone who’s struggling realises someone they’ll never meet, cares about them.

A person in need connects with a local charity registered with GIVIT to request essential goods or services.

2. Charity Partner

The charity checks the GIVIT online warehouse for available donations that will assist their person in need. If there are no matches, the charity registers the request on GIVIT.org.au.

3. Donor

Generous GIVIT donors, including corporate partners, browse the What’s Needed list and donate items or services that are needed right now. This could be a physical item, time and skills or funds to purchase goods. Our charity partner then delivers the requested goods to the person in need.

GIVIT's impact in the community

A 2022 report commissioned by the Centre for International Economics foudn that GIVIT has a 12:1 benefit-cost ratio for communities. The value of social benefits GIVIT provides to the community is estimated at $37 million per year, increasing to $50 million a year by 2030.
