You will be given a login to our secure platform where you can list the needs of the people you support. If you are assisting a person that is need of donated goods or services, simply log in to the GIVIT portal and write a description of the request you are seeking. The more information about the circumstances and what’s needed the more likely it is that your request will be filled.
You will be asked to choose a hardship category for the request, for example domestic and family violence or homelessness. No details about the person you are assisting should be shared to protect the safety and dignity of recipients of donated goods.
Your donation will then be listed on the What’s Needed list on the GIVIT website for members of the public to browse and donate. If a member of the public has the item you’re looking for, GIVIT will connect you with the donor to arrange delivery or collection of the goods.
Donors can also choose to donate funds to buy the goods requested. GIVIT will use 100% of donated funds to purchase those goods.
