Mary of the Angelus Community Ltd

Angelus Housing is a community based, NFP company and voluntary organisation. It provides housing for people in need to prevent homelessness .
This Priority 55 Housing Program is primarily designed for single women over 55 who are at risk.
Angelus residents have low incomes, few assets and enjoy financial and emotional stability of living in a shared secure house arrangements with up to 4 older women.
The residents and Head tenant share the house and garden. providing companionship and security but big enough to give the house the financial stability it requires.
Many have previously lived by themselves and were often lonely and isolated.
"Mamre House" at Mullumbimby, is a Priority 55 Housing startup.
The "Mamre House" volunteer group is very grateful to the GIVIT Team for being there to support organisations like us, on limited budgets, to support older women.

Maryborough Community House Inc.

Maryborough Community House Inc., was established in 1982. The organisation's services delivered, connect people through activities for the benefit of people within our community.
Services cover community development, education and training. A primary emphasis that underlies services delivery is on addressing social isolation. Activities range across art, ukulele, choir, craft, gardening, children's book library, IT digital skills training and supports, Energy bonus applications, walk-in and phone-based referral service support, Facebook and website community information, cooking skills training, general volunteer skills training, community events, venue hire, volunteer led projects, food and material relief.

Maryborough Neighbourhood Centre

The Maryborough Neighbourhood Centre is an information and referral service funded by the Queensland Government, Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services. The centre is dedicated to serving our community by providing valuable service and programs that support the well-being of disadvantaged members of our community.

Our centre is mainly supported by volunteers who offer their time and skills to support individuals and their families who are in need of assistance.

Marymead - Southern NSW Family Referral Service

Marymead, a well-respected, not-for-profit organisation servicing the ACT and southern and western regional areas of NSW, has been delivering a range of high quality, family support services to children, young people and their families since 1967. With offices in Canberra at Narrabundah and Watson, and in NSW at Goulburn, Moruya and Wagga Wagga, Marymead’s array of programs and services include child and family counselling, early intervention programs, foster care, post separation support, parent education groups, family and mental health support programs and contact and changeover services for separated parents in significant conflict. Marymead also offers innovative, person-centred support services for people with disability and their families. These services may be purchased through funds received under the NDIS, and include short term accommodation, after-school care and school holiday programs, skills development, recreation groups and in-home support.

Marymead CatholicCare - Youth Housing Support Service

Finding affordable, suitable accommodation in Canberra can be hard at the best of times, particularly if you are a young person. The Youth Housing Support Service (YHSS) provides outreach to young people aged 15-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in the ACT. Clients can be teamed up with one of our Youth Housing Specialists who can help them to gain and/or sustain safe, appropriate and affordable accommodation and tenancies.

Mary's House Services

Mary’s House Services (MHS) exists to respond to the desperate need for women and children to escape domestic
and family violence (DFV). MHS works with women who remain in a DFV relationship or feel unable to leave through The Daisy Centre (TDC),
focusing on maximising safety and housing support as well as other specific tailored information and therapeutic
services. Accommodation is provided at the refuge to women and children who are in urgent need of safe
accommodation.

The Massoud Foundation Australia is a registered Australian charity and non-profit organisation fostering an enduring relationship between Australians and the people of Afghanistan, promoting cultural awareness, and providing humanitarian aid to the people in dire need particularly to the newly arrived refugees from Afghanistan.

Mater Hospital - Young Adult Support Unit

The Young Adult Support Unit (YASU) provides Mental Health and practical support to young people aged 16-25 who are receiving ongoing medical support from the Mater Hospital.

Mater Refugee Complex Care Clinic

Established in 2002, Mater Refugee Complex Care Clinic is a Mater mission driven initiative that has made a significant impact on the health and well being of asylum seekers and people from refugee backgrounds in Brisbane.

The clinic helps people from refugee backgrounds with complex health needs who may have difficulty accessing and navigating health services within general practice. In addition, the clinic provides a no cost service to asylum seekers without Medicare to help reduce the financial barriers to health care.

Many of our patients experience significant financial hardship which impacts their physical and mental health and well being. The clinic links patients to community and social supports to improve financial hardship, social inclusion and community participation.

Donations are always welcomed at MRCCC to help support some of the most vulnerable individuals and families in our community.

Meals on Wheels Brisbane South Inc

We provide meals to those in need in the Brisbane South Aged Care region to support independent living. This may include those older citizens in our community, people with disabilities, people that are unwell or anyone else in need of a nutritious and nourishing meal. Our meals cater for all dietary requirements and needs including gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, halal and allergens as well as moist meals for people that have difficulty swallowing. Meals on Wheels has been serving local communities in Australia for over 70 years and provides more than just a meal to our clients. Wellbeing checks and social connection are other ways that Meals on Wheels support communities across this country.
