YWCA Canberra - Currawong Child Care Centre

YWCA Currawong is a 92 place Early Childhood Service located in Barton, as part of the DFAT Building. Currawong Child Care Centre is located on the grounds of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) in Barton. Families who work with the department have priority of access to the Centre. However, we also provide care for external families.

YWCA Canberra Clubhouse

YWCA Canberra’s Clubhouse is an innovative, creative, out-of-school learning space where young people from underserved communities can work with adult mentors to develop new skills, explore their own ideas, and build confidence in themselves through the use of technology.

Founded in Boston in 1993, the Clubhouse Network now extends across the world, providing 25,000 youth per year access to resources, skills and experience to help them succeed in their careers, contribute to their communities and lead outstanding lives.

The YWCA Canberra Clubhouse is located in Richardson, in the Tuggeranong region, and is a space where young people can drop by to engage with mentors, embark on new projects, and learn in a safe, friendly and open environment.

YWCA Canberra Housing Support Unit

The YWCA Canberra Housing Support Unit offers transitional housing for women, children and their families who have been sleeping rough, escaping DV, or who are at risk of homelessness. The families that we house often only have the belongings they can carry with them. They are in need of intensive support to help reestablish their lives.

YWCA Canberra Mura Lanyon Youth & Community Centre (MLYCC)

YWCA Canberra’s Mura Lanyon Youth and Community Centre is located in Conder in the South Tuggeranong region of Canberra. The Centre delivers activities and provides information and support that empowers community members and promotes community participation.

Mura Lanyon Youth and Community Centre is a drug-free, alcohol-free and violence-free zone.

A variety of weekly groups and activities are run at the Centre, including young mums programs, Scouts, playgroups, after school programs for kids, and a range of programs and activities for seniors.

YWCA National Housing - Melbourne

YWCA National Housing is the only national women’s housing provider in Australia. We currently provide over 150,000 nights of affordable accommodation to women through our owned and operated properties in Victoria, Queensland and Northern Territory.

YWCA National Housing believe the provision of safe, secure and affordable accommodation is a foundation for empowering women to lead a fulfilled life. We are a regulated housing provider, meeting the applicable regulatory performance standards wherever our accommodation is located.

We provide and advocate for improved access to safe, secure and affordable housing for low income Australians, particularly women and their children. Safe, secure and affordable housing is fundamental to women’s social, economic and educational participation, and the realisation of gender equality and women’s human rights.

Zoe Support Australia

Zoe Support Australia’s dedicated team of staff and volunteers provide daily advocacy and support to young mothers, under 25, in Mildura and surrounds. With a culture of Connecting, Inspiring, Learning and unconditional positive regard we provide holistic, wrap around and early intervention services to support young mothers along their parenting and education journey, aspiring to break the cycle of generational welfare dependency. Providing social and pre accredited education programs onsite, including offering transport and volunteer childcare when required.

Zonta Club of Canberra Breakfast Inc

Zonta Club of Canberra Breakast (a charitable organisation) working to Empower women through Service and Advocacy. Our club provides toiletry packs to women when entering a refuge, a kitchen pack when leaving the refuge and obtaining their own housing, together with a linen pack and more toiletries.

Zonta House Refuge Association Inc

Zonta House is one of the largest refuge association's in Western Australia and has extensive experience in developing programs, delivering services and achieving successful outcomes. The four service arms of Zonta: Crisis Accommodation, Transitional Accommodation, Safer Pathways and Positive Pathways; provides a continuum of necessary support and opportunities, for women and their families to achieve sustainable and positive individual and community outcomes. We assist women in crisis to recover from their trauma and engage effectively in planning their future.
